New Xiaomi 3 Rumor: Two Size with Differnet CPU

The Xiaomi is envisaged to release its new flagship mobile on 16 August as it did last year. Interesting, rumor said that Xiaomi is releasing two flagships: one with Qualcomm's Snapdragon's series CPU, the other with nViadia's Tegra; one with 5.5 inches LCD, the other with a smaller display.

Tegra is freshly introduced to Xiaomi's product line. Tegra 4 is constructed in Cortex-A15 structure and equiped with LTE. This will bring new features to the Xiaomi 3.

Xiaomi's cost-efficiency is without doubt, what the consumers highly concern is that when they can actually buy one. The Hungry Marketing strategy by Xiaomi successfully seized the budgeted buyers' first attention, but many of them lost their patient and turn to many other alternatives.

Let's wait and see what Xiaomi can wow us one month later: http://www.xiaomi.com/

Meizu Technology outstands from the copycat Chinese mobile manufacturers for its dedicated product design. His current flagship quad-core MX2 was released around Christmas last year and now info of its successor MX3 leaks on internet.

The source claim that it will be equiped with a 5.1-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 2GB RAM and build-in Flyme 3.0 OS, which is the customized version of Android coded by Meizu. If it is true, the configuration is not impressive at all.

The MX2 is being sold as low as 1699RMB (~280USD, same as its major rival Xiaomi 2S), dropped from 2499RMB its original price last year. The discent leads to spetaculation that Meizu is making way for the MX3.

Sina's LITE Weibo Desktop API is Launching

Sina recently released a new version of Weibo software for traditional desktop OS, which offers a lite and clean user experience, alike the Apple's iOS. The new software is assigned a lovely name: Murmur.

Weibo is one of the most popular social media in China, the Chinese localized version of "Twitter". But recent survey revealed that Weibo users are less active this year. Upsangel opines that there may be several reasons lead to the cooling down:

  • the degrading user experience due to Sina's recent steps to monetize Weibo by poping more advertisements
  • the confrontation of Weibo's rival: Weixin by Tecent.
